Penny Cook
Jazz vocalist
I am a dreamer and a local here. My life is full of heart and music. The artist’s life is always calling. From my first degree in Performance Studies to travelling to New York City for voice lessons. Growing up I sang along to all the jazz greats in my room. I have also seen performers like Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Kurt Elling, Wynton Marsalis Big Band with Cecile McLorin Salvant, Pamela Knowles, Billy Stritch, and Stacey Kent live in concert! Singing jazz standards from the Great American Songbook for the love of it, is the dream I can’t let go of.
If you would love a touch of jazz for your event or venue, it would be my joy to provide that for you. You can contact me directly on mobile: 0423 595 557 or penny@gracefulbody.com.au. Josie Grayden
Pop/Folk on Uke
Music has always been a passion of mine. I would dance around the living room to various songs by the Cure as soon as I could walk. I began taking singing lessons in 2017. From the first lesson, I knew that it was for me. I would spend hours imagining what it would be like to perform on a “real life stage”. In 2020, I swapped my 4 years of violin playing for the viola and began teaching myself ukulele. Throughout Covid lockdowns, I used singing and uke as a creative outlet, teaching myself a wide range of songs. I hope you enjoy listening!

Matisse Mok

Matisse is 10 years old and has just started his musical performance career. Nervousness had prevented him from achieving the result he wanted in his first clarinet AMEB exam. Therefore, Matisse sought to improve by playing at all sorts of venues and occasions.
Although his performances are mainly focused on classical music, Matisse has a broad appreciation of varying musical genres. Music inspires and excites him, just as much as playing games on the Ipad and eating McDonalds. In the artist’s own words, “music flows like a river of colours”.
